1-1/2 cup rice
¼ cup oil
... ¼ cup butter
1 medium onion
1 small tomato
3-4 green chilies
½ tsp cumin
8-10 whole black pepper
4-6 cloves
1 inch cinnamon
1 large cardamom
2-3 green cardamoms
1 tsp salt
1 tsp tara garam masala

•In a pan heat ¼ cup oil to fry 1 medium onion, ½ tsp cumin, 8-10 whole black pepper, 4-6 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon, 1 large cardamom and 2-3 green cardamom for few seconds until onion’s color changes.
•Then add 1 small tomato, 2-4 green chilies, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp tara garam masala in it
•When tomatoes are tender, add water as required and cook till it reaches its boiling point.
•Also add rice (soaked half an hour before preparing the recipe) and cook on low flame.
•When rice water starts to evaporate, add ¼ cup butter and allow simmering for 6-8 minutes. Delicious White Butter Rice is ready to serve.
