Ingredients:
1 Bottle gourd
1/2 liter Milk
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
5 teaspoons milk powder
5-6 tablespoon desi ghee
Oil for frying
1/2 tsp saunf powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
6-7 small cardamom
1 stick cinamon
3 garlic cloves
Salt to taste
10-11 almonds
Method:
1. To begin with peel and slice the gourd into long thin slices (like french fries).
2. Now heat oil in a Kadhai and deep fry the gourd slices.
3. In another pan add ghee, milk, cinamon, salt and cardamoms and bring to boil.
4. Now make a paste of milk powder with a little amount of the same boiling milk and add this paste to the milk in pan.
4. Cook it for about 2-3 minutes and then add the fried gourd slices and garlic cloves.
5. Add sugar.
6. Simmer for about 5 minutes or till the milk gravy thickens, forms a creamy texure and ghee leaves the sides of the pan but make sure that gourd slices become tender.
7. Take out the dish in a serving bowl and garnish it with almonds.
This dish is very unique and different to me. I mean i haven't listened this dish before. but i would like to try it and share it with my friends too.
