Ingredients:

500 grams boneless chicken cubes
oil 4 tsp
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp. lemon juice
salt as needed
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 green chili slit
1tsp lemon zest
1 large onion chopped
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp garam masala

½ tbsp. soya sauce
handful of fresh corriander

Method:

1.Marinate chicken in 1tsp ginger garlic paste, salt, lemon juice and lemon zest.

2. Keep the marinated chicken in fridge overnight.

3. Heat a pan with oil, add remaining  ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 min.

4.  Add onions, chili, sugar and salt. Fry until the onions turn light brown.

5. Add marinated chicken and stir. Fry until the chicken is half cooked.

6. Add garam masala and stir. Fry for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add soya sauce and mix well.

7. Cook until the chicken is soft and tender.

8. Add coriander leaves and fry until they wilt.

9. Chicken should just be moist but not with dripping sauces. Cook to evaporate any excess moisture.

10. Serve lemon chicken with roti or rice.
