1 kg Chicken (preferably chicken legs)
250 grams yogurt
250 grams Onions
6 Cardamoms small
6 tsp Oil
8 -10 green chilies
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp whole black pepper
1 tsp white cumin powder
2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
½ tsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp finely sliced Ginger  


In a pan, heat oil and add chopped onions.

On low flame,stir and dry onion’s water.

Add 1 kg chicken, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp whole black pepper, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste,green chilies with 250 grams yogurt in it.

Stir and Close lid and let it cook on low flame.

When chicken is tender, stir it properly and add 1 glass of water to it.

When it starts to boil, add 6 cardamoms and 1 tsp crushed white cumin seeds in it and boil for 5-7 minutes.

Add finely sliced ginger .

Delicious White Korma is ready.

Serve with rice or naan.

  1. Thats An amazing Easy recipe - at least looks like ! You are just magical with Kashmiri dishes. Another thing I wanted to know that "What is Wazwan" I need proper definition. I searched and found many answers but most of them werent satisfactory.

    1. Wazwan is the kashmiri cuisine which comprises of many dishes mainly rista, goshtaba, tabakmaaz, kabab and yakhni.
