Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg chicken boneless
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 2 cups corriander leaves
  • 1 bunch of garlic stems 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ginger, garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 green chillies
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 4 tsps oil

Method:

  1. Wash the mint leaves, coriander leaves and garlic stems and green chillies.
  2. Saute the mint leaves, coriander leaves and garlic stems and green chillies in a pan in a tablespoon of oil and some salt.
  3. Grind the green herbs and green chillies with a minimal amount of water.
  4. Put aside.
  5. Wash chicken and cut into pieces.
  6. Marinate the chicken pieces in ginger garlic paste for 15 mins.
  7. Meanwhile heat  oil in a pan, add onions and saute till golden brown,chicken and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Add coriander powder and tumeric powder and salt to the chicken.
  9. Add the green herb paste followed by a cup and a half of water.
  10. Simmer on low heat for 10 mins.
  11. Serve hot with rice or chapati.
